Ekemu Faces Fresh Sh30m Theft Charges

JAILED former Justice minister and attorney general, Joseph Ekemu faces fresh charges of stealing sh30m. Buganda Road Court yesterday issued a production warrant for him from Luzira prisons to appear on March 19, to answer the charges.

Buganda Road Court yesterday issued a production warrant for him from Luzira prisons to appear on March 19, to answer the charges. Ekemu allegedly stole the money belonging to his client, Ghelani Suresh, which he received on his behalf from the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs in March 1999. Ekemu is an advocate with Ekemu and Company Advocates. He was jailed early last year. Ends
