By Josephine Maseruka and Nicholas Kajoba PRESIDENTIAL candidate Chapaa Karuhanga has attacked candidate Col. Kizza Besigye and Rukungiri women MP Winnie Babihunga for blasting President Yoweri Museveni, yet they supported him during the 1996 presidential race. "I refused to support Museveni in the 1996 presidential race unlike Besigye and Babihunga who were busy canvassing votes for him. I wonder when I see them now blasting him,'' he said. Chaapa was addressing a rally in Mukono district at Mukono taxi park recently. He was accompanied by two members of his national task force, Hajji Matovu and Sevviri Ggaliwango. Chaapa called for a mixed economy for Uganda where the private sector would work along side the public sector. He also promised to establish new industries and agricultural enterprises. Meanwhile, while addre-ssing a rally in Jinja, Chapaa said that Museveni's campaign team had beco-me desperate and resorted to bribing people and parading them as having crossed from other camps to Museveni's.
