By Leo Kabunga NATIONAL Football League Committee (NFLC) yesterday failed to release the Nile Special Super league fixtures until the inspection of grounds is completed. Other important issues related to the 2001 league season will be discussed today at NFLC offices in Nakulabye. NFLC meeting yesterday dispatched FIFA retired referee Charles Masembe to Kabale to check on Horizon ground. He is also assigned to give an updated report about Masaka Recreation ground and Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara. NFLC secretary Raphael Bwire said that although the grounds were inspected last month, there is need to have a final report on the improved facilities. He said that Rajab Mohammed Kisekka will inspect grounds in Eastern Uganda that include Kanyike stadium in Lugazi, Ssaza ground in Iganga and proceed to Tororo, the home of Rock Stars while Lawrence Tamale goes to Northern Uganda in Lira. Sources from the meeting said that NFLC expects reports from all the venues by tomorrow while the fixtures will be released soon after the presidential elections on Monday. Meanwhile, referees and their assistants will hold a national cooper test today at Mandela National Stadium. The promotional cooper test will seed referees and their assistants before the Nile Special Super league kicks off next Saturday at various play grounds in the country. FUFA general secretary Godfrey Kisekka on Wednesday said that after today's cooper test, his executive will hold talks with referees concerning their 1999 longstanding unpaid dues. Kigongo Bukenya, Uganda Football Referees Asociation (UFRA) chairman said that there is still an outstanding debt to be cleared. Ends
