Njuba's Wife Quits Home

GERTRUDE Njuba, wife to the Kyaddondo East MP Sam Njuba, has reportedly deserted her home.

By Josephine Maseruka GERTRUDE Njuba, wife to the Kyaddondo East MP Sam Njuba, has reportedly deserted her home. Njuba, was the national chief campaigner for Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye in the recently concluded presidential elections. Mrs. Njuba is an advisor to Presidential Yoweri Museveni. A family source said Mrs. Njuba started packing her property on Tuesday and ferried it to an unspecified destination. She used a double-cabin pick-up truck with government registered number plates to ferry household property including beds. Mr. Njuba said he had long before the presidential elections expressed interest to separate with his wife. "The separation was long over due and I have no regrets," he said. He refused to discuss the cause of their separation but said their political differences contributed a lot to their break-up. Njuba said he did not know where Gertrude had taken refugee, saying, "I am not even interested in knowing where she has gone." Ends
