By Eddie Ssejjoba in Masaka Masaka Diocesan Bishop John Baptist Kaggwa has condemned acts of violence involving throwing bombs at innocent people in which four seminarians were injured and later one died in hospital. He was on Sunday delivering a sermon during a Mass at Villa Maria parish in Masaka. The Mass was organised to celebrate 39 years of Adrian Kivumbi Ddungu as bishop and to mark two years since his retirement from service. The clergy also prayed for Pascal Kikonyogo, a third year student at Katigondo National Major Seminary, who died in Kotovu Hospital due to injuries he suffered during a bomb blast on the Kampala Masaka road recently. Three other students were injured when a home made bomb expoloded in a taxi at Kalangazzi, 40 miles on the Kampala Masaka road. Bishop Kaggwa said it is sad that the assailants are targeting innocent people instead of addressing their grievances through the right channels. He said since the election period is over, Ugandans should strive to unite and work for peace and unity. "Voting is like a football match, there must always be a winner. So I appeal to the losers to concede defeat," he said. Ends
