Hungry boy causes bomb scare in Kasubi

By Josephine Maseruka Travellers on a Nansana–bound taxi who embarked at Kasubi trading centre, abandoned the vehicle after a suspicious polythene bag was seen in the vehicle. This happened in the morning hours when taxi going out of town take long to fill. While the passengers who were inside waited for it to fill, a young man, decided to rushed out and buy a chapati. He left a black polythene bag on his seat to prevent anyone taking it. Almost immediately, the bomb alert passengers noticed the polythene bag and fled from the taxi shouting "A bomb! A bomb!" At that time the young man returned with a chapati. A group of angry people confronted him demanding to know why he had abandoned the polythene bag behind. The poor guy pleaded that there was nothing dangerous in the polythene bag. He opened it to prove it. To the amusement of the on–lookers, there was a only a second hand shirt shirt. He said he was feeling hungry and that is why he had gone out to buy a chapati knowing the taxi would take time to fill. After his explanation and the nervous passengers had calmed down, they got back onto the taxi and went on with their journey to Nansana. Ends
