SIR-I wish to react to a letter by Alice Birungi of Kampala entitled "Kakuru takurirwa!" (You cannot beat your elder) in The New Vision of March 21. In this letter, she was telling people that Col Kizza Besigye was deceived by the crowd that merely came to see what he looked like but not to support. This reasoning is not only funny but also cheap! It only requires common sense which, in this case, is not common to people like Alice Birungi to know that Kizza Besigye crowds, regardless of the intimidation and harrassments, were true crowds of genuine supporters. Take Kampala alone as an example. Who got the biggest crowd and who got the largest number of votes? That only needs common sense. Pamela Kakuru Mbarara
