AT LEAST 10 people died near Luweero on Wednesday night when a lorry rammed into two taxis that had collided, reports Frederick Kiwanuka.

AT LEAST 10 people died near Luweero on Wednesday night when a lorry rammed into two taxis that had collided, reports Frederick Kiwanuka. The lorry killed five people who were rescuing survivors of the taxi crash. Another 20 people who were seriously injured were admitted to Kiwoko Hospital and Kasana Health Centre. The first accident took place at around 9:30pm when a Kampala-bound taxi, UAA 194A, collided with another 904 UDK travelling from Kampala to Masindi. Eyewitnesses said the speeding Kampala-bound taxi was trying to avoid a stationary lorry carrying charcoal when it hit the Masindi-bound commuter. Luweero Police identified some of the dead as Mukiibi, Clare Nabbowa, Nsubuga, Kazibwe and Sam Kalungu. Ends
