Osinde supreme as Lohana triumph

HENRY Osinde took five wickets for 19 runs as Lohana crashed Nile CC by eight wickets in the rain shortened opening match of the Bank of Baroda cricket league at Kyambogo oval yesterday.

By Ronnie Kintu Nile 86/10, Lohana 87/2 Premier 292/9, JACC 182/10 HENRY Osinde took five wickets for 19 runs as Lohana crashed Nile CC by eight wickets in the rain shortened opening match of the Bank of Baroda cricket league at Kyambogo oval yesterday. Debutante Osinde picked the five wickets in a spell of fast bowling. Kanji Godhadra also chimed in with three wickets taming Nile at 37 runs inside the first 16 overs. At Jinja oval Patel Pritesh notched an unbeaten 108 runs and knocked a stand of 96 runs with late order batsman Minesh Patel (56) as the side amassed 292 runs in 50 overs. The Jinja boys managed 182 runs in 37 overs after superb batting from Saleh Hamza, Jacob Mudu, and Joseph Ongaria. Meanwhile UCA select X1 beat visiting Rochdale Cricket Club by nine wickets. Ends
