Sulait Ssali, said to be a non-student resident at Livingstone Hall Quarters, was arrested by the Police on Tuesday in investigations into the Sunday murder of Barbara Mwesigye of CCE Hall. On Monday, The New Vision published a picture of several student demonstrators on a pick-up truck carrying a coffin. Kampala extra Police chief Benjamin Namanya, yesterday said Ssali was detained at Wandegeya Police Station. He said investigations indicate that Ssali led the team that grabbed the coffin used during the demonstration from one carpentry near the university. He is alsl said to have led another group that stole 40-litres of fuel from Gapco Petrol Station in Bwaise, Kampala. "We tell these people to stop demonstrating outside the university, where they mix up with thugs," Namanya said. Ends
