BRIGADIER Henry Tumukunde, the UPDF 4th division commander in Gulu, on Monday chaired an extra-ordinary security meeting attended by district leaders from northern Uganda.

By Justin Moro BRIGADIER Henry Tumukunde, the UPDF 4th division commander in Gulu, on Monday chaired an extra-ordinary security meeting attended by district leaders from northern Uganda. a source who attended the meeting held at the UPDF 4th division barracks in Gulu, said Tumukunde review ed the Lord's Resistance Army rebel activities in the north. Tumukunde was reportedly meeting the UPDF commanders in the region when The New Vision tried to contact him for a comment. the Kitgum Resident District Commissioner, Joseph Alex Apecu, and the LC5 chairman John Bosco Oryem, confirmed that Tumukunde called a security meeting but they declined to give details. They, however, said new security measures were put in place. RDCs, LC5 chairpersons district security officers and the secretaries for works, transport and communication from the northern districts attended the meeting. Ends
