M7 Meets Mbale, Sironko Women

PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni over the weekend received a joint delegation of women councillors from Mbale and Sironko districts who met him at his Rwakitura home, writes Vision Reporter. A release from the President's Office said Museveni and his visitors discussed strategies to uplift their livelihood and that of the communities they live in. Museveni told them of the disadvantages associated with land fragmentation especially in the densely populated areas as a result of inheritance practices. He discouraged the practice of parceling out land or dividing other family assets among children. He advised that only the proceeds from utilising family assets should be shared out. He also talked about increased agricultural production. Ends
