By Lillian Nalumansi The visa section of the British High Commission on Parliament Avenue in Kampala has been moved from the IPS building to the main section of the High Commission. Helen Rawlins, the Second Secretary Consular/ Commercial at the High Commission said their offices remained closed to the public from April 25th to April 27th during the relocation and will be opened again on April 30 at the new office previously occupied by the American Embassy. "We want to create more room for applicants because the IPS section was quite small and people would get cramped up there queuing for visas. At the new section we will be able to handle more applicants because of the availability of more space," Rawlins said. "There will be more interview booths at the new visa section and bigger staff to interview more applicants than before. We will have more staff towards Summer (July onwards) meaning that for now we are still maintaining the staff we had at the IPS building," Rawlins told The New Vision on Tuesday. Ends
