By Douglas Mazune SOUTH African Schalk Burger in a Subaru Impreza yesterday finished second overall in the Total Rally of South Africa but bagged maximum 10 ARC points to consolidate his position at the top of the Africa championship. Burger's compatriot Jan Habig who drove to a fine victory in a Sasol Golf to finish 4.51 minutes ahead over Burger does not score championship points because his car is not homologated. Burger clinched his second African championship victory after winning the opening round in Namibia last month and now leads the ARC standings on 20 points. Burger who finished second last year promised to continue competing in this year's ARC series in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. Other South Africans Hannes Globler (Nissan Sentra) and Lourens Etienne came third and fourth respectively as the hosts swept the top four positions. Reigning Africa champion Satwant Singh of Zambia navigated by Kenya Tom Muruiki in a Subaru Impreza came fifth and fourth among ARC points scorers. Uganda's Emma Katto who was scheduled to start his Africa title campaign in South Africa pulled out at the last moment, citing a tight business schedule. Ends
