By Geoffrey Kamali A LEVEL students at the St. Mary's College, Kisubi, will no longer have to line up while looking for reading space. The school has just completed a block and an annex, with 20 additional reading cubicles to accommodate the increasing number of 'A' level students over the years. The block, whose foundation stone was laid by President Yoweri Museveni five years ago, was commissioned recently by Mrs. Namirembe Bitamazire, state minister for primary education. "Our tradition here is that our 'A' level students should carry out their reading in these cubicles. Over the years, only one block was earlier designed for 30 students. The number has since doubled," says Brother Edward Bukenya, the headteacher. The project is part of the school's 10-year programme, titled the Decade of Development, which commenced in 1996. It is expected to fall on the school's centenary in 2006. "To mark that day, we have undertaken five projects," he says. The others are a junior library, dormitory extension, administration block and a dining hall. Ends
