BY PETER EKAROT DEFIANCE would best describe Julius Berger ahead of today's CAF champions' league second round, first leg match at Namboole. Berger's team manager Taiwo Ogunjobi, who led Shooting Stars past Villa to 1992 CAF cup title, says he carries all the luck for the Nigerian Bridge Boys to storm the group stages of this competition. Coach Tunde Disu briefly said: "Our mission is to get a win of whichever sort, then settle the game in Moshood Abiola stadium in Abeokuta on May 26." Club boss Chief Daniel Idama and deputy coach Fatai Amao said the difference in today's game is that Villa is an amateur side and they are a professional outfit. "We are in top six in the tough Nigerian Pepsi Pro-league. I know it won't be an easy game against Villa, but we have an edge being professionals against our amateur opponents," said Idama. Disu nick-named 'master planner' by his players, left the talking to manager Ogunjobi, who held the same position when Shooting Stars beat Villa 3-0 at home after a goal-less draw in Kampala to win the CAF Cup. "We are winning the game and we promise Ugandans the best soccer act from our fast attack in a 5-3-2 formation," he said. "We have heard a lot about Villa and this will be a thriller in our favour," said Ogunjobi. The Bridge Boys sponsored by construction firm; Julius Berger Nigerian PLC will rely on deadly twine-strike force of Julius Agbodiung and Aikhionabara Ogbemudia. Skipper Ambrose Duru, Solomon Olukoye and Ishola Shuaibu are the midfield gems while Abiodun Segun, Francis Okolo and Iliyasu Isyeku are the key defenders to stop Andrew Mukasa and Maurice Sunguti. Skipper Duru who scored a 90-minute volley for a 1-0 victory against Katsina United in December that clinched them the championship said: "We are prepared for this battle and we love to play before big crowds and we are told the match is just at half a dollar and the stadium will be full, so come and cheer us," he sarcastically.
