BY JAMES BAKAMA AND PETER EKAROT Uganda vs Togo CRANES will for the first time since January unleash the Andrew 'Fimbo' Mukasa and Hassan 'Figo' Mubiru lethal partnership at Nakivubo today. The pair, that for the last two years terrorised defences on the local and international scene, have not played together for different reasons. Mubiru moved to Express from Villa while Mukasa's off the field problems saw him ignored for national duty. The pair are back, and will lead Uganda's last ditch effort to deny Togo's Hawks the second qualification place in the Mali 2002 Africa Nations Cup Group Five. The duo that last played together in January's 1-1 draw with Senegal, face the tall order of conjuring up at least four goals in order to keep alive Uganda's chances of making the first finals since 1978. An anxious Mukasa has on his part assured Ugandans he will play his part. "I promise Ugandans only two goals,"he said. His partner Mubiru is this season's local top scorer and leads Cranes Nations Cup scoring chart with four goals. Coach Harrison Okagbue is well aware that he will be against the strongest Group Five side. But he is confident that the Hawks can still be trapped. The Nigerian tactician's optimism was evident yesterday. "In soccer any margin can be attained if you are set, and that is what I am working on," he said. Late fitness tests were the only worries for Okagbue. Hakim Magumba, skipper Phillip Obwiny, Patrick Mbaziira and Ibrahim Mugisha are still doubtful for Cranes last qualifier. Cranes come up against a highly professional Togo side that boasts of players like Belgian side Lokeren's Adekanmi Olufade, Komlan Assignon of Cannes in France. Tickets are at sh 4,000, 6,000 and 10,000 while players have only 500 tickets at sh 2000 at the B4 gate. Ends
