Bitamazire retains seat

MPIGI - The state minister for education and sports, Geraldine Namirembe Bitamazire, has retained her seat as the parliamentary woman representative for the district. Bitamazire was nominated unopposed by the Returning Officer, Mr. J. Biretwa. Flanked by her husband, Alfonse Bitamazire, she chanted, "Abeewo, Abeewo (let her stay, let her stay)." Bitamazire's supporters witnessed the function at the council chambers. Ends
