By Ronnie Kintu NEHAL Bibodi, Uganda's leading batsman, has been dropped from the final 14 players of the national squad to tour Toronto, Canada for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Mini-world cup slated for June 27-17 July 2001. The squad presented to the executive of the Uganda Cricket Association (UCA) last evening also had Henry Osinde and David Meya on the reserve bench. Dreaded left arm bowler Henry Kato was also left out. Reliable sources from the local governing body (UCA) revealed that Nehal Bibodi, Henry Osinde and David Meya have been dropped due to constant poor performance during trial matches that have been going on at Lugogo and Kyambogo ovals every Saturday. The Discipline of the top batsman, Bibodi and the national pace bowler, Osinde was also questionable as revealed by other sources within UCA. It was a shock when Bibodi's name was not read after a vigorous training session yesterday which the batting star actively participated in. Without the batting efforts of Nehal Bibodi, the national team's dreams to make the top three slots to qualify for the 2003 World Cup in South Africa are stretched. The squad: John Lubia (captain), Kenneth Kamyuka, Keith Legesi, Richard Okia, Richard Mwami, Tendo Mbazzi, Joel Olweny, Charles Lwanga, Simon Nsubuga, Frank Nsubuga, Lawrence Sematimba, Benjamin Musoke, Junior Kwebiha and Henry Okecho. Justin Ligyalingi (Team manager), Andrew Meya (coach). Ends
