The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Ms. Rebecca Kadaga, has protested to the Electoral Commission over the planned tour

By Nathan Etengu The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Ms. Rebecca Kadaga, has protested to the Electoral Commission over the planned tour of the district by the LC5 chairman, Mr. Ahmed Kawugu Mugaino. Kadaga, who is seeking re-election as the Woman MP for the district, said the chairman's planned tour was to garner support for her lone challenger, Mrs. Irene Kalikwani. Kadaga's chief campaign agent, Mr. Livingstone Isabirye said in a letter to the district returning officer, yesterday that Kawugu had already identified himself with Kalikwani. "He has on several fora identified himself with the opponent. The urgency of his tour is intended to influence voters after realising that his candidate is trailing badly," Isabirye said in the letter. Ends
