KABALE DISTRICT LOCAL GOVERNMENT TENDER BOARD INVITATION FOR TENDERS FOR THE PROVISION (SUPPLY OF GOODS, SERVICES AND WORKS) TO KABALE DISTRICT LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND SUB-COUNTIES FOR 2001/2002 FINANCIAL YEAR. Tenders are hereby invited from competent and interested individuals, Business persons, Firms, Suppliers, Companies, Organisations and groups of individuals for the provision/supply of goods, services and works to Kabale District Local Government. The goods/supplies/works are: 1 . Supply of Double Cabin Pick-up Toyota, Hilux 4 WD Model LN 166R 2800cc Diesel Engine and white in colour (For Water Department). 2. Supply of Laptop Computer (Toshiba) and Laser Jet Printer and other accessories (for Water Department). 3. Supply of pipes and fittings both GI and HDPE 4. Supply of HDPE Tanks (10m3) for primary schools. 5. Construction of Communal tanks (50M3) in brick work for water stressed areas. 6. Spring protection in different Sub-Counties 7. Rehabilitation of 10 Boreholes (major repairs) in different Sub-Counties i.e need for service rig. 8. Design of 1 Gravity Flow Scheme/Rural growth centre water supply. 9. Construction of one Gravity Flow Scheme - to be pre-qualified. 10. Latrine construction for primary schools (5 stance on): (a) Stable soil formations (b) Collapsing soils (c) Rocky soils/high water table. 11. Installation of HDPE Tanks (10m3) at Primary Schools in different Sub-Counties. 12. Construction of Kyempogo Gravity Flow Scheme in Rugarama Parish Maziba Sub-County. 13. Construction of Karindi-Nyamabare Gravity Flow Scheme in Mugandu Parish-Rubaya Sub-County. 14. Construction of Kamuserwa Gravity Flow Scheme in Nyarurambi Muko Sub-County. 15. Compound cleaning - Kabale Hospital. 16. Supply of cleaning materials and general sundries - Kabale Hospital and D.M.O. 17. Supply of Electrical fittings - Kabale Hospital. 18. Supply of firewood/charcoal - Kabale Hospital. 19. Supply of fuels and lubricants to all Departments and Sub-Counties. 20. Supply of Newspapers/prints, adverts, calendars and diaries. 21. Supply of Medical drugs and Medical sundries. 22. (a) Supply of stationery, printing services, photocopying, binding services etc. to Departments and Sub-Counties. (b) Printing of Graduated Tax tickets for 2001/2002. 23. Supply of foodstuffs - Kabale Hospital. 24. Supply of Hospital linen, mattresses PVC, Bicycle Ambulance and Hospital Beds. 25. Supply of Uniforms and Tailoring of Uniforms - Kabale Hospital. 26. Supply of K.D.A Police Uniforms. 27. Repair of office equipment e. g Typewriters, Computers, Photocopying machines etc. 28. Maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles, generators etc. 29. Supply of motorcycle, motor vehicle spares, tyres, tubes, etc. 30. Supply of Overcoats, Overalls and Rain coats for machine operators, drivers, turnmen and road inspectors. 31. Supply of building materials (Hardware items e.g cement, timber, iron sheets, paint, wire nails etc. to District and Sub-Counties. 32. Supply of Office furniture for District and 3 Seater Twin Desks (District Based Suppliers) 33. Supply of Office furniture for sub-Counties and 3 Seater Twin Desks to Primary, Schools (Sub-County Based Suppliers). 34. Construction of a VIP Latrine at Bigungiro Health Unit. 35. Construction of a VIP Latrine at Kibuzigye Health Unit 36. Construction of a VIP Latrine at Bwindi Health Unit 37. Construction of a VIP Latrine at Bubaale Health Unit 38. Construction of a VIP Latrine at Bubaale Sub-County headquarters. 39. Construction of a Semi-detached House at Bwindi Health Unit Bubaale S/C. 40. Construction of a Scini-detached House at Nangala Health Unit Bubaale S/C. 41. Construction of a Semi-detached House at Bugungiro Health Unit Bubaale S/C 42. Construction of a Semi-detached House at Kibuzigye Health Unit 43. Completion of Karujanga Primary School - 3 Classrooms and Office-Rubaya-Sub-County. 44. Construction of a laboratory room at Bubaale Health Unit. 45. Construction of placenta pit at Bubaale Maternity Ward. 46. Supply of murram, aggregates, sand, larva ash. 47. Routine maintenance of feeder roads - must be Sub-County Based (Details with Supervisor of Works-Roads. 48. Periodic maintenance of Kyanamira-Nyakigugwe-Bukinda-Kahondo-Maziba Roads (20.2km) + 19.8km bills of quantities with Supervisor of Works 49. Repairs, rehabilitation and minor renovations of Kabale Hospital Buildings and compound (to be pre-qualified). conditions for markets 1. TENDER FOR BEER BREWING/BUTCHERY FEES IN PARISHES Note: Each parish to be tendered separately. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: ALL NON-REFUNDABLE FEES SHOULD BE PAID IN: UCB KABALE A/C No. 34-00009-6 1. Bidders for item 48 will pay a non- refundable fee of 100.000= on submission of the bid. Details of bid documents can be collected from S. O. W. Roads. 2. Bidders for item 1 will pay a non -refundable fee of 80.000=. 3. Bidders for routine road maintenance should pay a non refundable fee of 20.000=. 4. Bidders for supply of furniture will pay a non-refundable fee of 30,000=. 5. Bidders for VIP construction will pay a non-refundable fee of 20,000=. 6. Bidders for markets will pay a non-refundable fee of 30,000= for Grade A, 20.000= for Grade B and 10. 000= for Grade C. 7. Bidders for BBP/Butchery fees will pay a non-refundable fee of 5.000= payable to the respective Sub-County. A general receipt to be enclosed in the Tender envelope and Sub-County Chiefs should assist in the submission of bids. 8. The rest of the items including construction and supplies of the non-refundabale fee is 50.000=. 9. The tender period for Markets, BBP will run for a period of 12 months. 10. Butchery fees on market days will be collected by market tenderers. 11. Supply of tickets is a responsibility of KDA and only official tickets will be used in the markets. 12. Revenue collectors' wages will be be met by tenderers. 13. Successful tenderers for Markets and BBP will be required to sign Tenancy Agreements with your respective Sub-County Councils. 14. You are required to attach a photocopy of the general receipt in the Tender Bid. 15. Intending tenderers are advised to endorse verified photocopies of the following important document where it is applicable. (a) Valid Income Tax Clearance Certificate 2001 (b) Trading Licence 2001 (c) Certificate of Registration/Incorporation (d) Bankers if any (c) Names of Directors of the company and contact address. 16. All bidders who wish to tender individually or groups of individuals are hereby advised to enclose a photocopy of Graduated Tax Ticket for 2000/2001 FY (not applicable to women). 17. No Employee/Councillor/Member of the Commissions or Board of Kabale District Local Council, whether elected or appointed is allowed to bid. 18. All tenderers for the previous financial year who wish to tender are required to ask the heads of departments they served to send a confidential performance certificate to the Tender Board. 19. Applicants should attach samples for purposes of quality analysis and control where applicable. 20. All bidders are hereby advised to contact relevant heads of departments and Sub-Counties for proper guidance on items to tender i.e design, specifications and bills of quantities i.e S.O.W Buildings, District Water Officer, Hospital Administrator, Directors and Heads of Departments and Sub-County Chief where applicable. 21. The Board's decision is final and is not bound to accept the lowest or any other tender. 22. All bids must reach the Secretary not later than 10.30 a.m. 9th July 2001. 23.
