By Hillary Kiirya RALLY ace Emmanuel Katto has surrendered a Subaru Impreza he had acquired from his counter part Karim Hirji after failing to meet a balance of £100,000 (sh247m). This was after Karim Hirji through his lawyer Ntende and Company Advocates dragged Katto to court after several hand written and oral promises to pay. Katto later agreed to have an out-of-court settlement after the suit was filed. He however decided to surrender it after a court order was made. He had acquired the Subaru Impreza WRC Chassis No.PRO GC89701Engine No. 97 PD blue in colour from Karim at £200,000 but only managed an initial payment of £100,000. It is not clear if the initial payment of £100,000 would be refunded. Katto used the car during the Shell rally and Total Pearl of Africa rally last year. It is one of the several new machines that have increased competition and interest. Ends
