By Frank Mubiru in London The Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, has visited Queen Charlotte & Chelsea Hospital to see his newly-born princess and the Nnabagereka, Sylvia Nagginda. Mutebi, who was full of smiles arrived at the hospital in a gray Lexus on Wednesday at about 6:00 GMT (8:00pm). Mutebi was welcomed by the venerable Prince Daniel Kajumba and other Buganda officials who later led him to Sir Stanley Clayton ward where Nagginda and the young princess are admitted. Nagginda delivered a seven and half-pound princess on Wednesday at 11:05pm. She had a normal birth. The New Vision was denied chance to enter the ward by one of the Ugandan ladies at the ward's reception. She said; "This is still private and only for the family. You will be notified when time comes for the public to know." She spoke rudely and refused to identify herself. However, one of the officials close to the royal family who had just come from the ward told The New Vision, "The princess is very healthy, beautiful and strong." The Baganda in London received the news with a lot of excitement. Phones were jammed as news of the birth was being spread throughout the evening. Yesterday many were making calls to find out whether they would be allowed some chance to to see the princess before she is flown to Uganda. The head of Mutebi's officials in the UK, Joseph Musisi, said and the Buganda community was very happy to receive a princess. Ends
