By Josephine Maseruka CARDINAL Emmanuel Wamala has appealed to Ugandans to be tolerant and appreciate those who belong to other races, political and religious organisations. Wamala also advised students to grow up as God-fearing and law abiding citizens with self-respect and respect for others. Wamala was on Saturday evening inaugurating a US$140,000 (about sh242.2m) multi-purpose hall at Vienna College Namugongo in Kyaliwajjala, Wakiso district. He hailed the partnership between Uganda and Austria, particularly the capital city Vienna, which he said, should be used to cultivate the art of tolerance. "The rich culture and civilisation in Vienna should be emulated by Ugandans to appreciate the art of living together regardless of our differences," Wamala said. He advised students to fully utilise the structures and modern facilities at the campus saying, "I envy both the students and parents of Vienna College, I wish I could go back to school." The Cardinal during the mass confirmed six students and counselled them to live by example. The Director of Vienna College, Mr. J.C. Muyingo, said in the coming holidays the school will embark on an exchange programme where students, teachers and management will travel to Europe. Ends
