By William Muwonge and Samson Opus WORLD junior champion Dorcus Inzikuru returns to the track this weekend at the National Post Primary Schools Athletics Championship in Hoima. The 5000m star who pulled an injury after her triumph in Chile is expected to be the main attraction at Hoima Boma ground. The annual championship would offer a good test to Inzikuru who recovered recently. Uganda Amateur Athletic Federation (UAAF) assistant secretary Beatrice Ayikoru said the teenage sensation is set for the three-day competition that starts today. "She is back to form after the Kenyan build up. The competition will be a good test," said Ayikoru. The Mvara SS Senior Four student, joined Arua district team last Thursday after a two-week high altitude build-up in Kenya. A stiff opposition is expected from defending champions Luwero. The championship will take off on a high note with the 5,000m race. An official said the race will be followed by the girl's 200m event at the competition that ends on Sunday. National Post Primary Schools Sports Association (NPPSSA) secretary Patrick Okanya, said over 30 teams are due in Hoima. "All is set, over 30 teams have confirmed their entry in the competition," Okanya said yesterday. Luwero, seeking a record fifth straight title, is again the team to watch. The team, a dominant force on the track, will also lead the challenge in the 5,000m race. Kapchorwa, who boast an impressive record in middle and long distance events, is the team capable of putting up a strong challenge against Luwero. Kawempe, who won the girl's title for the third time in a row last year, is the team to watch in the short races. Gulu, who excelled in the field events to emerge second overall last year, are also back in action. Soroti who impressed in the sprints to become third overall last year have also joined the fray. Other teams to watch include Arua, Lira, Mpigi, Mukono. Elections of NPPSSA led by secondary school head teacher Badru Sentongo will also be held during the championship. Ends
