The University invites tenders for supply of the following cleaning materials and protective clothing for the academic year 2001/2002.

Tenders in sealed envelopes which must be clearly marked on the front "Tender for ................" should be brought by hand, and be registered in Purchasing Office, Room 210, Main Building, and must arrive not later than 12.00 noon Tuesday 31st July, 2001.
The following information and conditions of tender must be observed when applying:
1 Name and address (postal, physical/location, telephone) of the firm.
2. Type of entity.
3 Income tax reference number.
4. Names and particulars of Directors (shareholders).
5. Attach certified copies of the following:
(a) Income tax clearance certificate for the year 2001.
(b) Certificate of registration/incorporation.
(c) Trading licence for the year 2001.
6. Prices must be in Uganda shillings and no advance payment shall be given.
7. Pros pective tenderers must indicate in their bids names of their bankers.
8. Tenderers shall be required to pay at UCB Makerere Branch a non-refundable fee of shs. 50,000 and get a receipt from the University Cash Office (Revenue). The photocopy of the receipt must be attached to the tender application.
9. Tenderers should indicate other places (addresses) where they are executing similar services.
10. Late submission will not be entertained.
11. Tenderers must be prepared to share tenders should the Board deem it necessary.
12. Tenderers are advised to bring samples.
13. The University will only be able to respond to successful applicants.
14. The University does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
