AT LEAST 90 cows have died of an unidentified disease in Kilembe village neighbouring Kasese Cobalt Company (KCCL) in Kasese town since last year, reports Vision Reporter.

AT LEAST 90 cows have died of an unidentified disease in Kilembe village neighbouring Kasese Cobalt Company (KCCL) in Kasese town since last year, reports Vision Reporter. Several herdsmen in Kilembe suspected their animals died after drinking acidic water leaking from the KCCL processing plant at Kamaiba, west of Kasese. "The affected cow dies a slow and painful death. It grows thinner until it collapses dead," Blasio Mulindwa, who claimed he has lost 50 cows in the mysterious disease outbreak, told The New Vision. Herdsmen said an affected cow changes colour. Ends
