LEADING soccer fan Mama Baker Kazibwe is yet to travel to South Africa for an operation on her swollen legs, reports Robert Bukenya. Kazibwe, bed ridden for over six months now, was due to leave for South Africa on Sunday, but failed due to lack of enough funds to facilitate her travel accompanied by an attendant her daughter Josephine Tendo. Radio sports presenters Peter Zikusooka, Charles Sebugwawo and Paul Chiwa early this year launched a funds drive for her treatment abroad. Task force sources said they managed to raise only sh6m whereas Kazibwe needed over US$12,000 (sh21m) to meet medical expenses, return tickets for two and other requirements. Kazibwe said she still has hope she she will make the trip. Ends
