By James Odong THE deputy director for mass mobilisation at the Movement Secretariat, Beatrice Lagada (left), has accused tourism state minister Jovino Akaki of using government resources to campaign for Betty Amongi in the Apac woman parliamentary race. Lagada petitioned the Electoral Commission to annul the polls. In a July 13 letter to the press, Lagada said Akaki diverted bicycles meant for sub-county women council chairpersons to campaign for Amongi. "Government bicycles from the Ministry of Gender for sub-county women council chairpersons were collected by Jovino Akaki Ayumu, MP Maruzi, and distributed to women during one of the so called Pan African seminars," Lagada said.
