By Catherine Ntabadde WAKISO district is to acquire 25 acres of land to construct its headquarters at Wakiso sub-county. The district chairman, Eng. Ian Kyeyune, on Tuesday told The New Vision that government gave the district a start-up grant without considering the headquarters. The district is currently renting the sub-county buildings. Kyeyune said, "We have filed papers to Buganda Land Board to enable us acquire the land. I have also talked to the Katikkiro who promised to help us." Kyeyune, however, could not disclose how much would be spent on the land. "Since the land belongs to the Buganda government, they will charge us reasonably," he said. Kyeyune said the district would soon get a master plan for the buildings so that when the land becomes available construction starts immediately. Ends
