By Peter Ekarot THE CECAFA Challenge Cup draws will be done today in Nairobi. CECAFA secretary Nicholas Musonye disclosed on phone that all the teams had now confirmed their participation. "We have now received confirmations from all teams. We shall make the draws on Friday. We shall unveil the sponsors of the competition as well," said Musonye. Uganda Cranes is the defending champion after winning the trophy in Kampala last December. Rwanda will host the event at Amahoro stadium from December 1-15. The event was moved from October 27 - November 10 to give way for completion of national league competitions in member and Castle Lager Cup in Mwanza from October 24-27. Cranes is also Cup holder of the lucrative Castle Lager trophy after beating Kenya Harambee Stars in last year's final. Musonye said CECAFA chairman Farah Addo was in talks with South African Breweries (SAB) to work closely with the regional body towards the development of soccer. r Uganda's leading soccer star Hassan Mubiru picked to play for SADC/COMESA XI in Mali in September would train with the rest of the team in Johannesburg.
