Yesterday in our story headlined: “Army pays $2m for bad food,” there was an error where we said top chemists who inspected it in August 1999, declared the ration unfit for human consumption and advised the army not to reject it.

Yesterday in our story headlined: “Army pays $2m for bad food,” there was an error where we said top chemists who inspected it in August 1999, declared the ration unfit for human consumption and advised the army not to reject it. The correct sentence should have read: “the army was advised not to accept it.” We regret the error. Ends
