By Vision Reporter THE Mukono deputy Resident district commissioner Deborah Mbabazi has intervened in the wrangles in which residents of Manyanyanga village, Mukono, destroyed an incomplete mosque built on a disputed land. Over 500 Tabliqs last week raided the village threatening to kill and destroy residents’ property. Mbabazi, accompanied by the District police commander, Basil Mugisha, on Tuesday visited the scene and held a security meeting. “We, on behalf of the government, have come to settle the dispute that occurred here recently,’’ Mbabazi told residents. She urged the Muslim community in the area to be calm because the suspects, who participated in destroying the mosque, would be charged, adding that the high court had issued an injunction on the construction. She said the dispute had been fueled by a lack of district land tribunals.
