ALGIERS - The president of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), Omar Kezzal, said on Sunday he had resigned after only one year in the job following harsh criticism of his management.

ALGIERS - The president of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), Omar Kezzal, said on Sunday he had resigned after only one year in the job following harsh criticism of his management. Kezzal told Reuters he ended his mandate three years ahead of schedule “for the sake of Algerian football and to maintain a climate of serenity at the federation”. No FAF head has completed his term since 1992. Ends
