Mende-Sanga Road Rehabiliation Launched

By Catherine Ntabadde REPAIRS on Mende-Sanga road which crosses River Mayanja in Wakiso district, have been launched. Eng. Ian Kyeyune, the Wakiso district chairman, on Wednesday launched the reconstruction work at Wakiso sub-county. The seven-mile road traverses Wakiso and Gombe sub-counties. This is the third time road repairs on rivers in the district is done. The first voluntary work was on River Lubugi in Nabweru. Kyeyune said the road is mainly used by farmers who transport their produce to Matugga and Kalwere markets. He, however, said the road had been damaged by water from the nearby river. “This road has been very bad. Water has been flowing along it, leading to poor transportation of produce to markets. Even cars have not been using it because it became impassible,” Kyeyune said. Ends
