Migereko advises people living with HIV/AIDS

State minister for energy Daudi Migereko has advised People living with HIV/AIDS to be productive while still strong and live comfortably.

By Wilson sempa and Charles Kakamwa. State minister for energy Daudi Migereko has advised People living with HIV/AIDS to be productive while still strong and live comfortably. He said this on Saturday while addressing participants at the AIDS Support Organisation (TASO) annual meeting at Jinja YMCA Main Hall. Migereko appealed to people living with HIV/AIDS to exercise self assurance and work for themselves, their families and the development of the country. “You should work hard and profitably. Avoid self consolation while you are still strong because you are useful citizens in the development of the nation” he said. Migereko said TASO had done a good job of caring for and improving the quality life of people living with HIV/AIDS. He said TASO had helped people live longer and many of them were involved in income generating activities. Migereko appealed to TASO to set up more centres in rural areas to sensitise the communities there. He said most TASO clients are urban-based and can access the main centres. Migereko said Many people in the rural areas needed help.
