The Stanbic Bank Kampala Kids League (KKL) kicks off its 6th football season with soccer friendlies this Saturday at Aga Khan High School, reports Phillip Corry. “We are looking forward to the new season, this will be our 10th sporting season since we started this initiative”, KKL commissioner, Trevor Dudley, told The New Vision. “We started the first season with 220 boys and girls and this season we have over 500 kids participating.” The league is divided into four league categories — juniors, mids, seniors and super seniors with six teams in each league. Dudley and another official Lesley Magnay said they wanted to spread the league upcountry using schools. “We would like to spread the Kampala kids league upcountry, but it would be hard to find volunteers”. ends
