Come Alive Ministries, a new music group comprising Come Alive groups from 1996 to 2000, is to hold a concert of original gospel music on independence Day at Kampala Pentecostal Church on Bombo Road in Kampala.
The concert, dubbed Alive Fest 2001, will be the first of its kind that will be held annually.
Come Alive Ministries leader Moses Mukisa says the concert will feature worship and praise music written by members of the group: “We don’t want to keep on singing songs copied from America. We want to revolutionalise the whole concept of worship in Uganda,†Mukisa says.
The group combines the best of talent in Piano, guitar, wind instruments, and drums, with glorious vocals to put up a show of inspiring music.
Tickets for the concert are on sale at various Christian bookshops in town and at St. Francis chapel Makerere.
