MAKERERE University invites Tenders from interested companies and/or individuals, local or foreign, to supply and install air conditioning facility in the University Herbarium.

TENDER TO SUPPLY AND INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING FACILITY IN THE UNIVERSITY HERBARIUM UNDER THE NORAD SUPPORT GRANT TO BOTANY DEPARTMENT MAKERERE University invites Tenders from interested companies and/or individuals, local or foreign, to supply and install air conditioning facility in the University Herbarium. The air conditioning is to achieve a temperature of between 180C to 200C in the Herbarium building. The interested firms may arrange to inspect the building where the air conditioning units are to be installed by contacting the Estates Manager’s office during working hours. SUBMISSION OF BIDS 1. Offers should be submitted in sealed envelopes distinctly designated on the right hand corner, “Bids for supply and installation of air-conditioning facility in the University Herbarium under the NORAD support grant to Botany Department”. 2. Prospective Tenderers are required to pay a non-refundable fee of 50,000/= at the University Bank (UCB Branch Makerere) and a photocopy of the receipt must be attached. 3. All bids should be delivered, registered and deposited in the tender box in Purchasing Office, Main Building Room 210 not later than noon Wednesday 31st October 2001. BID CONDITIONS: 1. Name and address (postal, physical location, telephone) of the firm or individual. 2. Type of entity. 3. Year of entity. 4. VAT number and TIN number 5. Names and particulars for directors/shareholders. 6. Attach certified copies of the following (a) Certificate of registration/incorporation (b) Trading Licence. 7. Price offers must be in either Uganda shillings or US dollars 8. Names of your bankers 9. Tenders should be in duplicate 10. Tenderers should indicate other business units (address) where they are transacting similar business. 11. Late submission will not be entertained. 12.
