KCC consolidated their NSSL second position yesterday by beating their jinx opponents Heroes at Namboole stadium.
The Yellow Boys returned to the scene of their abandoned Saturday match against SC Villa, but this time, put up a more convincing show.
Congolese midfielder Honore Kabongo opened the scoring on 28 minutes before substitute Badru Kiyega scored a diving header on 47 minutes to put KCC 2-0 up.
Julius Kibombo rounded KCC’s backline to pull one back for Heroes.
At Nakivubo stadium, a rampaging Toto Songe scored for Mbarara in the 14th minute and missed glaring chances to seal the game.
On resumption, Simba stepped up the tempo and Anthony Sekweyama floated in the equaliser from a corner kick.
In Masaka, Jimmy Ssewankambo struck twice and Isma Mulinde once as visiting Chicago fell 3-1. Walter Ochaya scored Chicago’s goal.
