THE Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Mubajje, has said he supports America’s move to attack targets of Saudi-born militant, Osama bin Laden and his al-qaeda network in Afghanistan, reports Esther Mukyala. He said much as he supports the attack, America should apply other measures to fight terrorism because the method being used has left many people dead and harmed innocent civilians. Mubajje was on Sunday speaking during memorial prayers for Sheikh Zakalia Kezaala at Bujagali village in Jinja district. “Terrorism attacks on America deprived many people of their rights to life and we strongly condemn terrorism. “America was right to reiterate but let it not use weapons that are designed to kill innocent people, but rather apply professional measures to trap the suspect,” he said. He said Islam does not support terrorism.” Ends
