Catechist delivers point blank prayer

A Catechist in Budiope, Kamuli who never took chances, left many people shaking their heads and others laughing at a graduation party. The party took place in the home of Eriyazali Walwasa on October 13. Walwa’s daughter had graduated with a Commerce degree of Makerere University. Family members worked round the clock to ensure every one present had something to eat. However, what caused all the fracas was when the catechist was called forward to bless the meal. He blessed the food saying: “Ayi Kibumba Tukwebaza ebyokulya byetulinagho Nebyokunwa byetuwulire mbu biriyo” (We Pray for the food presented before us and drinks which are rumoured to be there). All the people who were engrossed in deep prayer, burst out laughing. Later, when he was askedwhy why he had prayed in such a way, he observed that the host family had a habit of being stingy. ends
