For the case of Kampala, you find some streets bearing numbers like 1st Street up to 8th Street in Industrial Area. Why can’t such streets be re-named in honour of some Ugandans who have done important things amidst our society? We need to have streets or roads like Musaazi, Kisekka, Sserwanga-Lwanga and others.
In other districts, we have people who deserve recognition and their town councils should be considerate. For instance, Gulu town could have Dr Lukwiya Road while Kyenjojo could have Abwooli Malibo Road. Apac town could have George Adyebo Road; Pader town could have Canogura road; Kitgum could have Jonani Luwum Road and so on and so forth.
