Bukedde Readers Grab Sh3m Prizes In Boda Boda Craze

TEN lucky readers of Bukedde, the leading Luganda daily and sister paper to The New Vision, yesterday won over sh2.7m in prizes at the first draw of the Boda-Boda Craze promotion.

A brand-new motorcycle worth sh1.8m, four new bicycles, each worth sh95,000 and sh500,000 were won at the weekly draw held at Nateete trading centre in Kampala. Edward Semakula, a resident of Nabulagala, was the lucky winner of this week’s motorcycle. Abas Sekayombya of Kamdini army detachment, Leoben Senyonjo of Kampala, Eria Mutabazi of Makerere Kavule and Rashid Wamala of Kampala, won bicycles. Meanwhile, Jamil Semisambwa from Kayunga, Norah Nsereko of Bugiri district, James Mugoya of Old Kampala, Sande Lugondamada of Nsambya West in Kampala and Gonzaga J. Kayabula of Kampala, won sh100,000 each. Andrew Kaggwa, Bukedde’s chief sub-editor, picked the first raffle of the winner of sh100,000. Henry Wasajja, a UTODA chairman in Nateete, picked the winner of the first prize. Different people were chosen from the crowd at random to pick the other coupons. The promotion was launched on November 1, and it will run for the next seven weeks, with weekly draws every Friday in different parts of the country. Ends
