By James Bakama SC Villa coach Paul Hasule has said Express deserved to win the Kakungulu Cup final. “They were a better side,” said Hasule yesterday of Express’ 3-1 win that handed the Reds their first trophy since 1997 on Wednesday. Hasule said his usually resilient side accepted defeat the moment they let Express dominate. “You can’t go two goals down while playing an experienced side like Express and expect to recover.” Hassan “Figo” Mubiru ensured that Express were in charge with two goals, while Mathias Kaweesa scored one. Meanwhile, Express are leaving nothing to chance as they attempt to grab the Hedex Cup as well. The Reds suspended their victory celebrations and returned to camp to prepare to face Black Rhino in the quarterfinals today at Nakivubo stadium. “We also want the sh22m Hedex Cup winners’ prize,” said coach Godfrey Nyoola at their Lweza camp. They expect to join Heroes, Police and Military. ends
