Applications are invited from suitably qualified teachers in all the districts of Uganda for the following vacant posts in Kasese District. Applications in triplicate should be submitted to the Secretary Kasese District Service Commission P. O. Box 250 Kasese not later than 21/12/2001 on application ESC Form 3 (1989) obtainable from the District Service Commissions and Chief Administrative Officers' offices. Handwritten applications accompanied by curriculum vitae will also be acceptable. Applicants should be registered teachers. Applicants already in employment must route their applications through their employers. Certified photocopies of academic certificates and other supporting documents must accompany the application forms. Original documents may not be sent at this stage. The applications must bear the title of the post applied for as well as the reference number. Applicants may not apply for more than one post. VACANT POST: 1. HEADTEACHERS GRADE III PRIMARY SCHOOLS Ref: No K/DSC/156/15/2001 No of vacancies: 120 Salary scale: U5a (i.e Shs. 3,997,200 to Shs. 4,075,080 (p.a) Qualifications: EITHER (a) Holders of a Diploma in Education who must have taught for at least 8 years in Primary Schools/PTCs . Higher qualifications will be an added advantage; OR (b) Diploma Holders who are Primary Schools Administrators/Inspectors of Schools who previously taught in Primary School/PTC for at least four years and have administered/inspected schools for at least four years. Higher qualifications will be an added advantage; OR (c) Diploma Holders who are primary school Administrators/Inspectors of Schools who taught for at least four years in Primary Schools/PTCs and have since administered/inspected schools for at least four years. Higher qualifications will be an added advantage. 2. DEPUTY HEADTEACHERS GRADE I PRIMARY SCHOOLS: Ref: No. K/DSC/156/16/2001 No. of vacancies: 13 Salary scale: U4 ie Shs. 4,419,360 to Shs. 4,497,960p.a. Qualifications: EITHER (a) Diploma in Education from a recognised institution plus at least 10 years of teaching experience at Primary school/PTC level. Higher qualifications will be an added advantage; OR (b) Diploma Holders who are Headteachers in ,Grade III schools or Deputy Headteachers in Grade II.Schools and previously taught in Primary schools/PTCs for at least five years and have since administered schools for at least five years. Higher qualifications will be an added advantage OR (C) Holders of a diploma in education who are Primary School Administrators/Inspectors of schools who previously taught for at least five years at Primary School/PTC level and have since administered/inspected schools for at least five years. Higher qualifications will be an added advantage Management Department Job Title: REGISTRAR OF TITLES (1 VACANCY) Ref: K/DSC/156/17/2001 Salary scale: U5a - 3 (i.e. Shs 5,452,176 to 5,706, 228 (p.a.) Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognised university plus a diploma in legal practice. Duties: Responsible to the Senior Registrar of Titles Registration of cases, transfers, caveats and other documents relating to Law, Signing and issuing certificates of Titles, Drafting of legal documents relating to land, advising Government and its bodies on legal matters related to Law.
