USPA votes Jammers

By Douglas Mazune UGANDA Sports Press Association (USPA) yesterday voted Jinja based Sky Jammers sports team of November. Reigning basketball champions Jammers who polled 390 points beat off a stiff challenge from Express’ prolific striker Hassan Mubiru (360) and Kakungulu Cup champions Express FC with 290. Jammers went into the playoffs as underdogs and convincingly triumphed over defending champions Power to become the first team outside Kampala to win the league title. Mubiru was nominated for his outstanding performance in the Kakungulu Cup final. He scored twice in Express’ 3-1 victory over SC Villa. The scribes meeting at Tourist Hotel commended Africa CC and URA for winning the Castle cup and the chess league respectively. Richard Malinga and B. Okumu were also honoured ends
