By Douglas Mazune MOTOR Sport Africa Club (MOSAC) ladies sprint due December 16 at Garuga track circuit could be FMU’s first event with full recognition of FIA. “The significance of this sprint is the fact that it will be the first event held after FIA sits on December 14, to decide, as to who they should back as the authority to run motor sport in Uganda,” said a MOSAC press release yesterday. “MOSAC is confident the Ladies sprint will be the first event run by FMU with the full recognition of FIA.” Registration for the sprint started yesterday at Chipper’s Ice Cream Parlour on Kampala Road. The event is organised by MOSAC ladies. Meanwhile, Club-man Rally Champion (CRC) Nadim Lalani will upgrade from a Golf GTI to a strong car next season. Lalani said yesterday that he intends to switch to either a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution or Subaru Impreza. Fast rising Lalani who has moved to the National Rally Championship is targeting the top guns. ends
