SIR— I have been disturbed by persistent media reports to the effect that milk processors have been complaining that milk-vendors (abacunda in Ankole) are pushing them out of business!

the effect that milk processors have been complaining that milk-vendors (abacunda in Ankole) are pushing them out of business! All along, I had been duped to believe that we in Uganda are living in a liberalised economy! Do the processors claim superiority by merely packaging the milk in non-biodegradable polythene or they are peddling the capital-investment-employment line?
