Rakai to pay ex-CAO
MASAKA High Court has ordered Rakai district council to pay the former chief administrative officer, Vincent Ssemakula Ssettuba, sh8m in costs.

MASAKA High Court has ordered Rakai district council to pay the former chief administrative officer, Vincent Ssemakula Ssettuba, sh8m in costs.
Ssemakula sued the council for wrongful dismissal. The council had accused him of causing financial loss to the district
The court ordered that the district pays all Ssemakula’s outstanding balance of salary arrears from May 1999 to the time of judgement.
It also ordered that 50% of the salary arrears be paid immediately upon executing the consent judgement and the rest within four months.
